NEW YORK and Hollywood, Fla.–Oct. 29, 2009–Special venue attractions powerhouse, SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment, and creative studio, Super 78, have partnered with Nickelodeon--the number-one entertainment brand for kids to produce a unique new attraction—“Dora and Diego’s 4-D Adventure”--based on the network’s hit animated preschool series Dora The Explorer and Go, Diego Go!. Featuring beloved characters Dora, Diego, Boots and more, “Dora and Diego’s 4-D Adventure” will encompass a nine-minute 4-D movie experience and a four-minute 3-D motion simulation ride. The attraction will be available to theme parks, museums and other family destinations around the world in early 2010.
“Nickelodeon’s Dora and Diego are perfect additions for this type of attraction because of their huge appeal to families around the world,” said Mike Frueh, Senior Vice President of SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Nickelodeon to produce a media experience that brings a beloved brand like Dora to families everywhere,” said Super 78 principal, Dina Benadon.
“The integration of 3-D technology and the dazzling in-theater effects will engage Dora and Diego fans on a whole new level,” said Gerald Raines, Nickelodeon Recreation. “This new experience builds on the interactivity families have come to love from these shows.”
In the nine-minute film, directed by Brent Young of Super 78, guests will join Dora and Diego and their rainforest friends as they try to stop Swiper’s latest invention--the Robot Butterfly--from swiping the homes of the animals in the rainforest. The 3-D motion simulation ride will add an extra dimension with theatrical lighting, scent, wind, water and other in-theater effects to deliver the ultimate 4-D experience. Venues can feature both the film and the 3-D motion simulation ride, or just host the film.
